Bryony Dunne is an Irish artist currently living and working in Cairo. Through various projects, she is primarily exploring the interaction between humans and the environment, as well as the evolution of cultivation and settling. Besides her interests in film and photography, she also explores the concepts of intangible cultural heritage, myths and traditional practices.
Far from massive political upheavals, in the barren Sinai Desert, there are still a few green gardens whose survival depends on two Bedouin men. In their orchard, they offer a timeless and invaluable calmness and – using their knowledge and love – they are trying to save one of the last strongholds of vegetation in a period which is devastating it, in a space that does not allow it to live.
