Every year, ETNOFILm – along with it`s film program – organizes different workshops in the fields of ethnology and anthropology. So far, a big number of foreign and Croatian students and researchers participated. This year – through a three-day workshop – we`re presenting our new project Sensory Ethnography and New Media which was initialised by Ethnographic Museum of Istria, in partnership with Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade, the organisation soundimageculture (SIC) from Brussels, five universities (The Academy of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb, Free University of B
erlin, Aarhus University, University of Ljubljana and University of Belgrade) and regional intangible cultural heritage experts. The aim of the project is to present the opportunities for synergy of sensory ethnography, new media and modern technologies in recording, interpretation and presentation of intangible heritage and the culture of the everyday.
Throughout the two-year series of workshops, lectures and field
research ten selected students from fives universities will work on producing an interactive on-line map that will function as an on-line archive and at the same time give an opportunity for broader audiences to learn about intangible heritage in Croatia and Serbia. The workshop will be presented and managed by Laurent van Lancker.
