Manuel and Augusta live in a rural part of north-eastern Portugal, which is disappearing. Their 52-year marriage has always been formed through agriculture. Now they are aware that if they give up, this branch will disappear forever. In this film portrait they remember the summer when they met and started their lives with each other and with nature.
